Mechanism

Maintains sustained release of gemcitabine directly into the bladder, which is subsequently converted to active metabolites that disrupt DNA synthesis.

Approved Indication

BCG-unresponsive, non-muscle invasive bladder cancer with carcinoma in situ with or without papillary tumors, per its FDA approval.

What This Means For Patients

Inlexzo is a novel drug-delivery system that is inserted into the bladder to release gemcitabine chemotherapy continuously over several weeks. It is used for patients with high-risk, BCG-unresponsive bladder cancer, and is accessible in Hainan Boao Lecheng.
